Almost three centuries have passed, during which the old name of "Locanda della Posta" gave way to its present name. Moltrasio, a characteristic village overlooking the first basin of Lake Como, and its hotels, have always been an irresistible stop for those travelling along the ancient Via Regina in need of a place to stay. Famous people, including Vincenzo Bellini and Sir Winston Churchill, have been habitual visitors to this small village situated on the western shores of Lake Como. For almost a hundred years the Albergo Posta has belonged to the Vanini – Taroni family, who has renovated it and embellished it with elegant and attractive features, adding to its charm.
