Como. The old town of Como is rich in monuments and works of art located within the old walls. The Cathedral, built between late 1300 and mid-1700, is a true jewel gathering elements of different architectural styles. Behind the cathedral stands the “Casa del Fascio” masterpiece by Giuseppe Terragni (Rationalist Architect) . You might also stop in Piazza San Fedele , where you can admire the ancient Basilica.
Outside the walls there are St.Abbondio Church, a masterpiece of Comacini Masters, and Baradello Castle, built as a defensive tower work. The lake front is very charming and full of Patrician villas.

Brunate. Reachable from Como by funicular, (every 30 minutes), you will enjoy a suggestive view!. Brunate is also the ideal starting point for pleasant walks .

Bellagio, known as "the pearl of Lake Como” is located in the middle of the Lake . You can admire the superb villas, houses leaning against each other, small typical shops along the stairways and  well-maintained parks.

Varenna, facing the Bellagio peninsula,  is connected by frequent boats . The village is one of the most panoramic of the lake. You can visit old villas plunged into beautiful parks.

Lecco. Capital of a rich and industrial province. Nestling between steep mountains, the large basin is dominated by Grigna , San Martino, and the unmistakable Resegone crest, so beloved by Manzoni, Stendhal and Stoppani.

Lugano: An international city, where international cultures meet and merge to form one of the most interesting area to discover. The city offers, conference centres, banks, parks and old buildings.

And for fans of cycling, we recommend an interesting journey, linking Como Lake and Lugano
and having Moltrasio as starting point .
Generoso Mountain and Valle d'Intelvi are also interesting destinations.

Routes for trekking lovers :

• Monte Bisbino, a very panoramic excursion  requires one day, along the first stretch of Via dei Monti Lariani.
• Brunate -“La Via delle colme”. The excursion  takes 5 hours. The hike is easy and suitable for anyone requiring minimal training. The natural panoramas are delightful !
• Spina Verde. This path, which develops inside the “Parco Naturale della Spina Verde”, offers a series of enchanting panoramic views over Lake Como, the city and the landscape.
